The fitness community in Tulsa, Oklahoma, and countless friends and loved ones are mourning the loss of Kristyn Nicole Kysar, a respected WBFF professional fitness athlete, entrepreneur, and devoted animal lover whose vibrant personality and unwavering determination left a lasting impact on everyone who knew her.
Kristyn built a reputation as a passionate advocate for health and fitness through her career as a WBFF professional athlete and as the former co-owner of Ignite Nutrition, a supplement and nutrition store in Tulsa. Together with her husband, she created more than just a business—they cultivated a welcoming community where customers became friends, united by their shared commitment to healthier living.
A graduate of Bristow High School, Kristyn was known for her infectious energy, relentless work ethic, and positive outlook on life. Whether competing in national-level bikini fitness competitions, modeling, participating in the boxing and MMA community, or mentoring others in their wellness journeys, she approached every opportunity with enthusiasm and determination. Friends admired her drive, loyalty, and fearless spirit, qualities that inspired many around her.
Beyond her accomplishments in fitness, Kristyn had an extraordinary love for animals, particularly her beloved dogs. Those closest to her often described them as family, and her compassion for animals was evident in the care and affection she gave them throughout her life.
Following Kristyn’s passing, many have also shared the emotional story of Oakley, one of her cherished companions. After veterinary evaluation revealed that Oakley was suffering from a ruptured splenic tumor causing severe internal bleeding, the difficult decision was made to peacefully end his suffering. Surrounded by love during his final moments, Oakley was laid to rest with the hope that he would be reunited with Kristyn. The touching account has resonated deeply with friends and supporters, reflecting the profound bond she shared with her pets and the compassion of those who stepped in to care for them.
As news of Kristyn’s passing has spread, tributes have highlighted not only her accomplishments in the fitness industry but also her generosity, humor, resilience, and unwavering loyalty to the people and animals she loved.
