Family and friends are mourning the heartbreaking loss of Stephen John “Steve” Haller, 65, and his beloved wife, Patricia Ann “Patti” Adams Haller, 63, who tragically passed away together on July 10, 2026, following an accident in Tallahassee, Florida. Their sudden passing has left an immeasurable void in the hearts of those who knew and loved them.
In a heartfelt message, the family shared that they are devastated by the loss and respectfully requested privacy as they grieve. While many have expressed a desire to know more about the circumstances surrounding the accident, the family has asked that the focus remain on celebrating Patti and Steve’s remarkable lives and the love they shared rather than the details of the tragedy.
Steve, born on September 23, 1960, was raised on Long Island, New York, and enjoyed a distinguished career as an air traffic controller. He was known for his outgoing personality, his passion for cooking, golfing, cheering on the New York Jets, and his remarkable ability to make friends wherever he went.
Patti, born on October 1, 1962, in Sarasota, Florida, dedicated much of her professional life to working at Assurant. She was admired for her infectious sense of humor, her love of thrifting, clogging, and her unique ability to brighten the lives of everyone around her with laughter and kindness.
Married on November 10, 1990, in Miami, Florida, Patti and Steve shared 35 years of unwavering love and partnership. They were true soulmates who embraced life together, enjoying visits to local breweries, bowling, traveling, seafood dinners, and making cherished memories with family.
Above all else, they treasured time spent with their beloved granddaughter, Amelia “Millie Goose” Silverman, who was the center of their world. Becoming grandparents was one of their greatest joys, and they delighted in showering Millie with endless love, affection, and unforgettable moments.
Patti and Steve are survived by their children, Kristen and Ryan Silverman, Kevin Haller, their cherished granddaughter Amelia, their beloved dog Lucy, and a large circle of extended family members and lifelong friends.
A joint celebration of their lives will be announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers, the family has requested that memorial donations be made in their honor. Though they are gone far too soon, Patti and Steve Haller’s legacy of love, generosity, laughter, and unwavering devotion to one another will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing them.
